Gah! I've been too busy of late to blow my own trumpet but I am proud to belatedly announce that alongside all my other freelance gigs I'm the new(ish) technology editor for Saga Magazine, which is read by more than 900,000 people every month. It's aimed at over-50s, a huge market for gadgets and technology, so I'm very excited to write for them! Here's the first of my monthly sections...

Check out my piece in the Evening Standard 15 years ago today, which presaged smartphones (six years before the iPhone), called out sexist tech, triggered national TV new coverage and resulted in Samsung cancelling the UK launch of this cute-but-patronising phone.Yep, I've always been a troublemaker! But what do they expect if they launch a handset that counts the calories women burn doing 10 activities that include cleaning, dishwashing, cooking, shopping and "chattering"?
